What TOCFL band does Book 3 prepare me for?
Book 3 targets TOCFL Band B Level 1 (intermediate). After completing Books 1–3, you should be ready to attempt the Band B examination with strong preparation. The vocabulary and grammar introduced in Book 3 appear frequently in Band B listening and reading test items.
Is Book 3 suitable for self-study?
Yes, but the grammar complexity at B1 level makes speaking practice increasingly important. Self-studiers should supplement with regular tutoring or language exchange sessions to practise producing the conditional and hypothetical structures introduced in this volume.
